Northern Sun Is Closing With Giveaways and Deals
In 1979, Northern Sun opened up for business, largely by selling a backpack full of t-shirts from a bicycle with progressive messages. As founder Scott Cramer explained it on the company website, the Three Mile Island nuclear plant leak of radiation, and the elections of Ronald Reagan and George H..W. Bush, created a demand for anti-nuclear and anti-war messaging. Since then the business has boomed.
Now that the brothers who run the business are stepping more fully into ‘retirement,’ the merchandise and large warehouse of shelving units on Lake Street in Minneapolis are available for discounted sales and some giveaways.
