We Are Hiring: Sales & Development Specialist

Minnesota Women’s Press is seeking a new partner in our growth and expansion statewide. We are looking for a candidate who is schooled in business development and sales generation, with great communication skills and attention to detail. Strong multi-tasking and time management capabilities. Interest in social justice issues. You have ideas and energy to develop statewide growth. We have a team of four full-time and three part-time, based in North Minneapolis. This is a full-time position, at least three days per week in office.
We foresee a three-step process in this new role:
  1. Test your skills on sales and development prospects for the existing magazine, website, and newsletter, alongside another member of the team. Starts hourly based on experience, $20-25.
  2. After that process is learned (about three months), you will begin to develop pitches that offer clients marketing exposure. Base salary based on experience and reaching goals, plus health benefits and paid time off.
  3. Opportunity for advancement in 2024 as our revenue and statewide expansion grows.
