This interconnected self-identity is what will bring us together. It has the ability to save our communities. A relational ecological selfhood is not limited to a single gender, species, age, sexuality, or race. It is rooted in our interbeing. This is ecofeminism.

We'd said to the world — some of whom were listening — we think women's words are important and can make a difference in the world. Being aware of the challenges of trying to do that, I said I hoped we could last a year. Glenda said, 'Well, we have to last at least 10 years.' And now, 40 years later, Minnesota Women's Press is still here, doing incredible work and taking on all kinds of interesting new challenges.
