Minnesota Women’s Press Wins Eight Media Awards for 2025 Coverage
Sarah Whiting and Mikki Morrissette pick up the MN media awards
For 2025, the state media association recognized Minnesota Women’s Press with eight Top 3 awards, including:
- a community leadership award,
- three photography awards for Sarah Whiting,
- best magazine article, for our story about people who help veterans access health benefits,
- social issues journalism, for our data center coverage
- the Spring 2025 “Know Your Rights” special section we did alongside Unidos MN
- human interest news feature, for our housing story from Winona
Our publisher previously was named Journalist of the Year by Violence Free Minnesota for gender-based violence coverage.
For 2025 coverage, Minnesota Women’s Press earned a community leadership award, three photography awards, and four editorial awards, including for coverage of social issues and for our Spring 2025 “Know Your Rights” special section supported by Unidos MN.
