Loss

“One Hundred Chairs” — individual chairs are 5 inches x 3 inches; porcelain, decals, glaze, and gold luster

In 1999, 13 people were killed at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. At the time, it was the deadliest high school shooting in modern U.S. history. Now it is not even one of the 10 worst.

My exhibition, LOSS, is meant to create a platform for dialogue to better understand the impact gun violence has on our lives. It is meant to show empathy and support for survivors of gun violence in schools, and the families of those who have lost their lives.

LOSS is on view through October 6 at Mudluk Pottery, a ceramic studio in South Minneapolis. mudlukpottery.com, richellehuff.com
