How to Welcome New Ukrainian Neighbors
Minnesota welcomed 132 Afghan families last winter with strong volunteer action. Alight is now preparing for another group of new neighbors who are beginning to arrive in Minnesota from Ukraine.
Alight is hosting two information sessions to talk about how to help Ukrainians navigate and process their arrival:
- Wednesday, September 14, 5:30-6:30pm, at Alight’s office in NE Minneapolis
- Wednesday, September 21, 12-1pm, Zoom meeting
The sessions are for anyone interested in learning more about sponsorship, and what it will mean to help newcomers navigate the community and access services and support.
RSVP to RSVP@wearealight.org with the session you would like to attend.
