5/15-17 — Art-A-Whirl (online)

The beloved open studio experience organized by Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) will continue online this year. NEMAA will also provide resources and training for artists developing their online presence to connect with the public virtually. 5/16 — Subversive Sirens Virtual Splash

This Minnesota-based synchronized swimming team is committed to Black liberation, equity, radical body acceptance in athleticism, and queer visibility. While absent from a pool, their ‘virtual splash’ will feature breathing, stretching, and a choreographed dance inspired by synchronized swimming that everyone can learn and perform together.  Free, donation accepted. 3-4pm. Support visual artists who rely on income from contract labor, traveling gigs, and sales of work or discover your new favorite by visiting Soo Visual Art Center’s art hub.
