Seven artists share their captivating takes on the theme “Inside, Outside, Inside-Out” in the Off-Kilter Cabaret! Using dance, comedy, puppetry, musical composition, spoken word, and storytelling, artists with disabilities explore the theme in wildly different ways, ranging from hilarious and thought-provoking to heart-breaking and profound. This year’s show will be emceed by Amy Salloway.

ABOUT the PROGRAM: Off-Kilter Cabaret is Off-Leash Area’s 2nd annual cabaret performance program designed to highlight and support artists with disabilities, which makes space for and gives voice to artists with disabilities in the design and leadership of the program.
Curated by the Off-Kilter Leadership Team, the 2023 program is organized around the theme “Inside, Outside, Inside-Out”. Off-Leash Area is excited to continue our partnership with Young Dance, whose mission is transforming lives through movement.
Performances: November 17, 18 at 7:30pm, November 19 at 2:00pm.
Friday night performance will be followed by a post-show reception.
Saturday and Sunday performances will be followed by a post-show discussion.
Admission is $5-30 sliding scale, suggested donation.

ACCESSIBILITY: Performances are held at the fully accessible Tek Box Theater at the Cowles Center.

GETTING HERE:
Parking: Parking is available in the LOOP Butler Park open-air parking lot on the corner of 1st Avenue and 6th Street (entrances on both 1st Avenue and 6th Street) directly behind The Cowles Center. Pay by cash or credit card at the exit. Additional lots and metered street parking are available throughout the neighborhood. The Central Library parking lot is a more economically accessible option, located a few blocks away.
Biking: The Cowles Center is bordered by a dedicated bike lane (6th Street) and a Bicycle-Friendly Road (Hennepin Ave). Bike Racks are available on the Hennepin Avenue sidewalk.
Public Transportation: The MetroTransit Light Rail Station nearest The Cowles Center is the Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue Station. Take either the METRO Blue or METRO Green Lines, and then proceed one half-block southwest on Hennepin Avenue. The Cowles Center is located on the corner of Hennepin Avenue and 6th Street.
