The application period for the 2022 McKnight Fellowships for Book Artists opens December 1, 2021–March 1, 2022.

Minnesota Center for Book Arts is pleased to partner with the McKnight Foundation to offer two fellowships to mid-career book artists living and working in Minnesota who demonstrate exceptional artistic merit and commitment to the field. Fellowship benefits include:

– Unrestricted $25,000 award
– Two studio visits from a national critic/curator
– Travel honorarium to attend one conference
– Featured participation in an artist panel at Open Book
– Funding for professional artwork documentation
– Two years of MCBA studio access
– Career consultation with Springboard for the Arts
– Residency through the Artist Communities Alliance

The program is designed to award Minnesota book artists who have created a substantial body of work over a sustained period of time and are at a stage in their career that is beyond emerging.
