Many of our communities have been traumatized in recent years from the violence and injustices present in their everyday lives. As a show of support for those survivors of violence and injustice, many places of worship and nonprofit organizations will come together to walk for Peace and Justice on September 30 and congregate at the Lake St./Marshall Ave bridge as the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul meet to commit to work to prevent all forms of violence.

The walk begins at Brackett Park 117 West River Road, Minneapolis and walkers will walk the River Roads in both Minneapolis and St. Paul and meet on the Lake Street/Marshall Ave bridge. There invited mayors Melvin Carter and Jacob Frey will meet to commit to working for nonviolence in our communities. Following the ceremony at noon, all are invited to the Danish American Center for music, speakers and refreshments.
