A powerful and inspiring gathering in solidarity to end violence against women and girls
Covid-19 has exacerbated the problem of domestic and sexual violence. You can support advocates and survivors by joining with us for a remarkable gathering of human rights activists and entertainers in support of Global Rights for Women.
The event will be hosted by Lizz Winstead, co-creator and former head writer of The Daily Show, with special appearances by Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, who presided over the USA gymnastics sexual abuse case, and Vita Randazzo, gender specialist with the United Nations Honduras, and GRW Executive Director and human rights lawyer Cheryl Thomas.
Music and entertainment will also be provided by Ruthie Foster, three-time Grammy nominee, Jesse Colin Young, singer and songwriter and cameo appearances by Marcia Gay Harden, two-time Academy Award winner, V (formerly Eve Ensler) activist and author of the Vagina Monologues, with Imrana Jalal, chair of the World Bank Inspection Panel and Dr. Eleanor Nwadinobi, physician and women’s health activist.
All proceeds from the event will support our local and international efforts to eliminate violence against women and girls.
Around the globe, 30% of women are at risk of domestic violence, and isolation during COVID-19 has increased this violence by up to 20% in many countries, including the U.S. By attending this event, all of your ticket purchase proceeds and support will go directly towards changing these realities for the millions of women and girls who are survivors and at risk of violence in our community and worldwide.
