The Somerset Champions invite you to a November 14 film screening and Q&A session with French filmmaker Christine Loÿs, for her new documentary “En Avant L’Etoile du Nord: ou La Joie de ‘Vie.’ The event is Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 7 pm at the Somerset Public Library, located at 208 Hud Street, Somerset, WI 54025.
Christine Loÿs’s film explores French history, heritage, and identity in Minnesota. Ms. Loÿs will attend in-person to introduce and answer questions about her film. This is the first in a film series written, directed, and produced by Ms. Loÿs, documenting the French Corridor in the Upper Midwest. Film is in English and is 62 minutes in length. This event is FREE and open to the public.
