This is the first of a series of events that Communities United Against Police Brutality is hosting. The federal Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating the Minneapolis Police Department’s use of force, racial discrimination, treatment of protesters, and treatment of people with disabilities. This is an opportunity for the community to speak and to make sure the DOJ gets the information it needs to uncover the truth about Minneapolis policing.
Ways to get involved:
–Tell your story to the DOJ
–Help decide what should become part of the consent decree (list of required changes to MPD)
–Help us collect other people’s stories
–Show up and spread the word!
Friday June 11th, 6:00 pm, at Powderhorn Park, 3400 15th Ave S (Minneapolis)
Dinner will be served. Bring a chair or blanket.
