Neighborhood Forest was founded in 2010 as a social venture dedicated to giving children their very own tree to plant on Earth Day – for free, every spring. It started with 4 schools in Minneapolis in 2010. Since then, Neighborhood Forest has grown and mobilized over 400 schools, libraries, and youth groups, reached over 100,000 families, and given over 50,000 children.
