Join Chef / Writer Mecca Bos and Chef Sean Sherman for the launch of their new nonprofit, BIPOC Foodways Alliance on February 28 at the Glass House. BIPOC Foodways Alliance aims to dismantle white supremacy through cross-cultural sharing. There will be BIPOC Table Food by Chefs Sean Sherman and Mecca Bos, as well as entertainment by Cornbread Harris and Tricki Miki. Guests will be treated to a special presentation of footage from the first ever BIPOC Foodways Alliance Table event.
This fundraiser seeks to help fund BIPOC Foodways Alliance’s mission to document and share underrepresented food stories to dismantle white supremacy through a shared table space. This space allows guests to tell the unheard and underrepresented food stories of their co-hosts – women of color, elders, immigrant communities, and other often overlooked individuals who hold deep culinary knowledge and wisdom.
General Admission tickets start at $75/each, with more affordable options to ensure no one is turned away.
Location is at the Glass House, 145 Holden Street North Minneapolis, MN 55405
