Bharatanatyam choreographer and dancer, Ashwini Ramaswamy (Ragamala Dance Company), deepens a choreographic methodology she began in 2019 with Let the Crows Come—named “Best of the Year” and critic’s pick in The Washington Post, The New York Times, and others. This reinterpretation of Italo Calvino’s metaphysical novel interweaves cultural perspectives and interactive projections created live by internationally-renowned visual artist Kevork Mourad, along with artists from diverse dance backgrounds—Gaga technique led by Berit Ahlgren, Modern and Afrodiasporic led by Alanna Morris, and Breaking led by Joseph “MN Joe” Tran.
