2025 Martin Luther King Jr. Rally in Saint Paul
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, many organizations gathered at Saint Paul College for a rally organized by Black Lives Matter Minnesota, Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC) and Twin Cities Coalition for Justice (TCC4J). Because of the extreme cold, the intended march was replaced by a car caravan to the Capitol.

For 2025 coverage, Minnesota Women’s Press earned a community leadership award, three photography awards, and four editorial awards, including for coverage of social issues and for our Spring 2025 “Know Your Rights” special section supported by Unidos MN. Our publisher was named Journalist of the Year by Violence Free Minnesota for gender-based violence coverage.
