Leaving "the life" Thanks for your profile story about Terry Forliti in the November Women's Press. I met Terry at a Breaking Free volunteer training night. She made an immediate impact on me - she showed me things from a very raw and real perspective.
I can never pretend to understand much of what she has experienced - my life has been much different than hers - yet Terry's tell-it-like-is approach opens eyes and hearts. Her worth to Minnesota's community of women is very apparent to me.
Thanks for all the staff and writers at the Women's Press continue to do to strengthen and educate and care for our communities as women.

How do we value our homeless youth? I picked up a copy of the November Women's Press recently and read it cover to cover. I think it is one of the best issues that you have published. I was especially touched by the article on homeless youth. [ActNow column] I know there are many homeless children, but I was unaware of the exact statistics.
I am saddened to think about kids worrying about where they will sleep, what they will eat and what will happen to them and their families. These are things that I never had to think about in the small, rural farm community that I grew up in.
Please keep up your candid journalism, even though there are those that believe that 'reality is overrated."

Kudos from Oregon A friend gives me your publication every month, and I remain so impressed with both the content, the writing and the ideas you gather with each edition. I loved the Directory in September that contained hundreds of ads and write-ups about women and their businesses. What a service to Minnesota women! And the article about women in the wild towns of North Dakota! [Aug., 2015, Feature, Wild, Wild West] Thank you for that one. Keep going! Know that your work is spreading beyond your boundaries. I only wish that Oregon had such a talented and ambitious team like yours.
