Well, now we are being invited to watch "lingerie football"-women running, kicking and tackling in underpants and bras. [MWP, ThinkAboutIt, May 2011]
Does this mean we will soon be cheering from the sidelines at men running, kicking and tackling in jock straps and shoulder pads?
And, will all this take place between the 50-yard line and goal or will more off-the-field escapades be the "who, what, where, when and why" of sports writers?
Thanks, MWP, for being here. Carol Schuldt, South St. Paul
"Positive-aging," what a revelation! [BookShelf, MWP, June 2011] Society puts so much emphasis on "anti-aging," making it easy to ignore that fact that aging is inevitable. Why not embrace it with our chin up and a positive outlook? I loved Faye Berger's book, "Gumption, lessons on old age, loneliness, and a hotdish"! Molly Libra, Twin Cities
