For 24 years, participants in our book groups, reading retreats and literary travels have designated their Great Books—books that most intrigued, challenged and evoked strong response and discussion. More than 400 books have been chosen. All have been chosen by women readers.The Great Books: Because Women Say So! offers the list of books three separate ways: alphabetically by title, with annotations; by author; and by genre (see below). We have also included reading lists from our book groups, from 30 themed reading retreats and from our literary travels around the world, making The Great Books a valuable resource for individual readers and book groups.
