Anti-bullying support
I am so glad that Sarah's son is no longer bullied. [SheSaid column, Sarah Whiting, MWP, July 2017] Her realization that a ten-year-old girl held more control over the situation than a bunch of adults is pretty humbling, but also empowering. One kind-hearted child can make such a difference! And so, sadly, can one adult.

Happy dance
I appreciated the lovely, affirmative and yet challenging essay by Judith Brin Ingber. [YourStory, MWP, August 2017] She made me think. She was honest and thoughtful about body image, grounding it in her own experience, yet making it open enough for readers to see themselves and reflect on their own body images. Her essay certainly did that for me.
