It is imperative that we white "progressive" and "liberal" helping professionals move beyond difficult conversations and into meaningful systematic action. What does actively working for Racial Justice mean in our professional and personal lives? ~Identify common race dynamic questions, worries, and issues that we may have, situations we have come across, and the mistakes that we white helpers often make when helping People of Color. ~We will discuss the topics of White Privilege, White Liberalism, White Fragility, Cultural Appropriation, White Savior Complex, Intersectionality, Reparations and how these concepts influence ourselves, our work as helping professionals, and how we will address them.
